Greek Wine Tasting With Stefanos Argyros says
Santorini, Greece. This picturesque island is not only known for exotic vacations, but also for quality winemaking. After all, the Greeks basically invented everything we know today that involves wine and viticulture. We invite you to join us for a special Greek wine tasting with Stefanos Argyros on Wednesday, May 17, where he will be pouring five wines from his family’s Santorini winery.

Estate Argyros was established in 1903 by Georgios Argyros on a mere five-acre vineyard located in the village of Episkopi Gonia Thiras. Fast forward to present day: The Argyros family has not only increased its vineyards to 65 acres, but also rebuilt the winery, transforming it into a one-of-a-kind winemaking facility. Here, they combine tradition with modern technology to ensure the high quality of grapes, under the leadership of the founder’s grandson Yiannis Argyros. Many professionals in the Greek wine community think of Yiannis as the best Greek winemaker for dry white wines and dessert wines. His efforts have been acknowledged worldwide, with Estate Argyros recognized by Wine & Spirits Magazine as one of the 100 best wineries in the world in 2005 and 2006.

We invite you to explore the different expressions of terroir in Santorini while you taste Argyros’ five different wines: three whites, one red and their most delicious sweet Vin Santo. Come expand your palate and, of course, as always, we’ll be offering bottles of these wines at a special one-day-only retail price.
