El Big Bad is continuing their tradition of downtown celebrations with an all day event in honor of Houston PRIDE’s annual parade and festival. The parade route made the move to downtown Houston from Montrose in 2015. El Big Bad is located in the Historic District near the downtown light rail on Travis Street just blocks from the Parade’s start at Milam and Walker.

This year’s PRIDE Parade takes place on Saturday, June 25 at 8:30pm. The annual event attracts more than 700,000 attendees and features more than 115 businesses and organizations. Donations from the parade and other events help provide health services, counseling, scholarships and more for members of the LGBT community.

To celebrate the Parade and the LGBT community, El Big Bad has planned a PRIDE Pageant Houston personality Dutch Small will crown his favorite overall Pride outfits, a unicorn costume contest local Unicorn April Ngo will select the best unicorn costume, specially priced PRIDE margaritas including the bubbly “The Unicorn” and more. “The Unicorn” margarita is made with fresh juice, 100% Blue Weber tequila and features an upside down champagne mini bottle. Chef Jonathan Jones will be on hand preparing regional Mexican food made from locally sourced ingredients.

El Big Bad is an award winning restaurant and the World’s Largest Infused Tequila Bar with over 70 selections to choose from. The restaurant holds several titles of Best Margarita from local and state publications. The 10,000 square foot restaurant includes an elevated wraparound balcony patio overlooking Market Square and the Historic District.
