Venomous Maximus (Houston, TX)
https://venomousmaximus.bandcamp.com/
Venomous Maximus is a Heavy Metal band from Houston, TX. The sound combines intense, unabashed metal riffing that locks into heavy rock grooves featuring interjected dual leads and surprisingly darkened atmospheres. Add to it the distinctive voice of towering front man Gregg Higgins and his unorthodox, unsettling tone, and unholy sinister laugh.

Eternal Champion (Wimberley, TX)
https://eternalchampion.bandcamp.com/
Inspired by the epic fantasy of Michael Moorcock and savage, pre-Christian war sagas comes ETERNAL CHAMPION, an epic heavy metal band forged in the siege-fires of Austin, Texas, featuring members of Iron Age and Graven Rite, Power Trip, Cruxiter and Hammerwhore and others, and carrying on in the heroic tradition of Manilla Road, Warlord, Omen, Brocas Helm, Cirith Ungol, Metal Church, Griffin, Liege Lord, etc.

Sumerlands (Philadelphia,, PA)
https://sumerlands.bandcamp.com
Sumerlands explode onto the scene with their incredible self-titled debut album of classic heavy metal. Inspired by the timeless guitar-driven sound of the 70's & 80's, SUMERLANDS feature former Hour of 13 / Atlantean Kodex vocalist Phil Swanson and renowned producer Arthur Rizk (Inquisition, Power Trip, Pissgrave) on guitars and behind the boards! Powerful guitar riffs and galloping rhythms meld flawlessly together with soaring vocals and pristine production to create strong, hook-filled, moody anthems. This is a new wave of American Heavy Metal at its finest!

Snakeway (San Antonio, TX)
https://snakeway.bandcamp.com/
Maybe it’s the miserable southern heat, but Texas seems to breed some of the best metal influenced hardcore. Easily comparable to local favorites such as Iron Age and Power Trip, SnakeWay destroys the trend of becoming as accessible and poppy as possible; creating a brand of hardcore that is as ugly and dark as they come.

The first proper release from the young San Antonio natives showcases exactly why SnakeWay are quickly becoming local favorites in the Texas hardcore scene. Vortex of Time is a 4 track assault of metallic hardcore, complete with ripping guitar solos and Justin Guerrero’s signature vocals that appropriately sound like a possessed demon. No ex-member hype, just stripped down, metal influenced hardcore played to perfection. “Spiraling downward, no control – VORTEX OF TIME.”
