Time Out says

Of all the characters in modern Jewish fiction, the most beloved and the only one to break beyond the borders of the Jewish world is the image of Tevye, the Dairyman, who had award-winning stage performances in theater and film ("Fiddler on the Roof" the most successful Broadway musical as well as the film that followed). Now, for the first time in Israel, and in a contemporary dance version with original music, Switzerland's Basel Ballet will perform "Tevye" The work of choreographer Richard Wherlock, the artistic director of the Basel Ballet, and specially written by composer Olivier Truan and performed live by the Swiss musician quintet "Kol Simcha".
