Cold Arrow – Game of Go (Weiqi) (Beijing Dance LTDX Company, China)

The first Chinese professional dance company to operate as an independent non-governmental band invites audiences worldwide to experience their rich culture firsthand. The company's name comes from the initials of the Chinese saying: "Thunder that shakes the universe," and these dancers surely shake things up with their pristine technique as they navigate between moments of synchronization that evoke stillness and chaos. Cold Arrow – Game of Go presents a poetic metaphor for the game of life. Drawing on the ancient Chinese strategy game, “Go,” the dancers move around a life-sized game board, a symbol of our competing life choices: good and bad, pros and cons, black and white.
