Air Cote d’Ivoire announces flights between Abidjan and Johannesburg via Lagos

Air connectivity on the continent is getting a boost as Air Côte d’Ivoire announces the return of flights between Abidjan and Johannesburg, now operating via Lagos.

According to Travel and Tour World, the newly reinstated route is set to launch in July 2026, marking a significant comeback after the airline suspended operations between these destinations last year due to operational and commercial challenges.

This development is expected to strengthen travel links between West and Southern Africa, while also making it easier for business and leisure travellers to move between these key cities.

Passengers on this route will travel aboard the airline’s Airbus A330neo, launched last September. 

The aircraft configuration includes:

• 4 First Class seats
• 44 Business Class seats
• 21 Premium Economy seats
• 173 Economy Class seats
