FlySafair has an exciting offering for coffee lovers.

The airline has partnered with one of SA's popular coffee brands, Bootlegger, to elevate the customer experience.

Passengers will now be able to order the proudly South African coffee brand that was started in Sea Point in 2013 and has grown to over 80 locations nationwide.

Through the new collaboration, customers can look forward to enjoying four signature beverages on FlySafair's in-flight menu:

  • Bootlegger Colombian Specialty Grade 100% Arabica Freeze-Dried Coffee
  • Bootlegger Cappuccino
  • Bootlegger Hot Chocolate
  • Dilmah Ceylon & Rooibos Tea

The collaboration is a significant milestone for the brand, which hopes to expand to 200 cafés by 2028.

"With this partnership we are able to strengthen our home-grown brand as we scale towards 200 cafés by 2028," said Ricky Ruthenberg, Bootlegger CEO in a statement posted on their site.

"Capturing the travel market allows us to grow our brand beyond traditional retail locations whilst serving our existing customer base in new environments."

Bootlegger and the airline launched the deal on Wednesday, 17 September.

The exciting new offer comes after the airline added a new route from Lanseria to George, a sought-after vacation destination. Read all about it here.

In June, FlySafair and Lift claimed first and second place in the category of Best Low-Cost Airlines in Africa at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
