Services are suspended until further notice.

Joburgers who rely on the Gautrain midibus between Rosebank and Parkhurst will need to find alternative transport for now.
The public railway service announced on social media that the route has been suspended until further notice, affecting both weekday and weekend operations.
In a Facebook statement, the operator said: “Please note that the Rosebank–Parkhurst midibus route has been suspended until further notice.” No explanation was given for the sudden halt in service.
The update comes shortly after Bombela Concession Company concluded its 19½-year concession agreement with Gautrain. The new operations management reportedly took over from 27 March 2026.
"The conclusion of the BCC concession marks the end of an era and a proud moment for Gautrain,” said Tshepo Kgobe, CEO of the Gautrain Management Agency, in a statement.
The company announced that the new transition will not affect operations.
“As we enter this transitional phase, our priority remains to deliver uninterrupted, world-class service while preparing for a seamless handover to the next concessionaire.”
Since its launch in 2010, ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the Gautrain has served as a key transport link for thousands of commuters across Gauteng. The system has also contributed an estimated R46 billion to the province’s economy.
Known for its convenience and reliability, the Gautrain network includes an Airport Service connecting Sandton and Marlboro to OR Tambo International Airport, as well as a commuter service linking stations across the north-south and east-west corridors.
The midibus routes play a crucial role in helping passengers travel between stations and surrounding areas, making this suspension a notable disruption for daily commuters.
