Fans disappointed by the cancellation of Rocking the Daisies can still look forward to seeing the festival's Headline Act, Isaiah Rashad perform live this October.
The cancellation of the 2026 festival hasn’t affected Isaiah Rashad’s South Africa performance dates. Just hours after the announcement, IN THE CITY confirmed that Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) rapper is set to headline two shows this October.
Rocking the Daisies confirmed earlier that the 2026 edition of the festival has been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances” beyond the organisers’ control. Ticket holders will receive automatic refunds, while organisers had announced plans to host a series of IN THE CITY events in Johannesburg and Cape Town featuring some of the artists originally scheduled for the festival.
Isaiah Rashad will be performing in South Africa for the first time.
Since signing with TDE in 2013, Isaiah Rashad has become known for his emotionally honest lyrics and relaxed Southern rap sound, and has built a devoted fanbase through projects such as Cilvia Demo, The House Is Burning and The Sun’s Tirade. Fans can expect to hear a few classics from these projects along with his recent release, IT’S BEEN AWFUL. For many South African fans, these shows will offer the long-awaited chance to see him live. The IN THE CITY concert series, presented in partnership with Sprite, will see one of hip-hop’s most influential artists take the stage - and it's a show local fans won't want to miss.
