The relationship between hospitality and creativity is as old as time. Artd and Hyatt House are partnering for an exhibition dubbed Travel Through Art, where they fully embrace the intersection of art and hospitality.
From Sunday, 11 October, the hotel's lounge and pool areas will transform into an immersive walk-through gallery that will remain open for one week.
Artd is a Johannesburg-based contemporary arts entrepreneurship whose primary focus is development, scaling and mentorship for emerging South African talent.
Their artistic director, Zanokuhle Duma, described the exhibition as a celebration of the connection between art, culture and exploration.
“Through this collaboration with Hyatt House Rosebank, we've created an experience that invites guests to discover new perspectives, engage with African storytelling and connect with creativity in a meaningful way,” she said.
With Hyatt’s solid reputation for offering a luxurious vibe against the backdrop of Johannesburg’s skyline, the exhibition promises to layer the opulence to both the art and the space it’s going to occupy.
You don’t need a passport or boarding pass, and there are no baggage limits to how much you can immerse yourself in Travel Through Art.
Travellers will attest that a hotel room is where their tourism journey begins and ends because this is their home away from home while they explore the world.
Hyatt House Johannesburg Sandton & Rosebank’s cluster manager, Mitch Gemmell, shared his team’s belief that travel is about discovery and connection.
