Happy long weekend to those who celebrate, aka you were smart enough to take Monday off with Youth Day on Tuesday. For the rest of us, we need to get better at planning.

This weekend in Jozi has a good mix of music, theatre, fitness, arts and crafts, and it’s also the final weekend of Encounters. AND don't forget to bring your gees for Bafana Fridays!

The Rocky Horror Show

Killarney Country Club parkrun 

  • Saturday, 13 June | 8am
  • Location: Killarney Country Club, 60 5th St, Houghton Estate
  • Cost: Free but participants need to be registered

Whether you walk, jog, or run, this friendly weekly event is a no-pressure environment, open to anyone looking to move their bodies. The 5km course follows a combination of grass, gravel and trail paths, with the start and finish area located behind the padel courts.

Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer

If your algorithm is anything like mine, it’s hard to avoid these events on social media, and for good reason. Candlelight is bringing the warmth this winter with a candlelit evening celebrating some of Hans Zimmer’s greatest scores. Expect music from The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Madagascar.

Punch Needle Art
