Motorists will need to dig deeper from 3 June as fuel prices rise, adding more pressure to already stretched household budgets.

Joburgers will need to budget more carefully for essentials and transport after the government confirmed that petrol prices will increase from Wednesday, 3 June.
The latest adjustment comes after fuel prices have been increasing in the past few months.
According to the announcement, petrol will increase by R1.43 per litre, while diesel prices will remain unchanged for now.
Government said the increase is linked to rising international oil prices, with Brent crude oil being affected by ongoing tension between the United States and Iran.
Unfortunately, petrol price hikes affect the cost of transporting goods, which can, in turn, push up prices for essentials such as groceries and other services.
For ordinary Joburgers, the increase means monthly transport costs may rise even further, particularly for those who rely on private vehicles to get to work, school or run daily errands.
With another fuel hike now in effect, many households may need to review their spending and look for practical ways to keep transport costs under control.
