Stepping into this year’s theme, "Evophoria" – a seamless fusion of evolution and euphoria – the third edition of the festival delivered on every front. High-fashion street style and overall good vibes took centre stage, while Chef David Higgs and The Marble Group kept guests indulged with next-level food and drink setups.

To top it all off, international powerhouse Lost Frequencies alongside local heavyweights like Shimza and the Scorpion Kings brought the two-day spectacle to a close, proving once again why it’s a must-attend on the Gauteng social calendar.

The Last Hand Experience

Adding to the magic was The Last Hand, an exclusive, invitation-only experience by Jackpot City and The Luxurious Marble Circus, which brought true meaning to luxury. Set up on the left wing of the pink stage, the secret activation gave special guests a prime balcony spot to soak in the entire show and energy from the best seat in the house, built specifically to surprise, intrigue and reward those who love the thrill.

Drinks and food were flowing while guests tried their luck at various casino games, taking full advantage of the high-stakes thrills and VIP treatment throughout the night.

Celebrities, fashionistas and Joburg's finest party people were all hoping to get lucky at The Last Hand experience last weekend.

Among the guests was media personality Boity Thulo, who said: “My favourite thing about Jackpot City is the fact that they give you experiences that money can’t buy. Because you couldn’t buy a ticket to be here, okay, you gotta be with Jackpot City to be up here.”

Speaking to Claire Grainger of Jackpot City, she expressed that the sponsorship has been amazing. “The sponsorship has been everything we want it to be. It has put us where we want to be, which is a lifestyle brand,” she said. She also mentioned that there is more cool stuff and collaborations the brand is working on but keeping under wraps at the moment. “This is just the beginning for Jackpot City in South Africa.”

The Vibes!

The entire experience was one like no other. From multiple goosebump moments – whether from tightrope walkers or a breathtaking firework display – there was something for everyone.

Brands such as Savanna had their own concert, which local celebs like Shamiso, Speedsta, Lorcia Cooper and Sparky Xulu attended, dancing to the sounds of Simmy and DJ Kent, among others. Fashionistas had a great time at the Country Road activation, where they walked away with beautiful scarves, while Vaseline had guests glowing as they tried out their products.

At the Savanna Station, guests enjoyed a more personal experience where they made their own armbands using their own names or those of their loved ones. The brand spoke highly of the Luxurious Marble Circus, saying the event’s approach to fashion, music and culture perfectly aligned with the now 30-year-old alcoholic brand’s vision to bring South Africans together over a celebration of culture, comedy and friendship.

Also spotted was fashion icon and Metro FM host Moozlie (Nomuzi Mabena) and Duma Collective founder Sibu Mabena, who hung out at the Heineken marquee where the DJ dropped hits by Beyoncé, Brenda Fassie, Mafikizolo, Rihanna and many more.

The crowd gravitated towards this station, not just for the music but because the brand had a "perfect serve" masterclass where the guests learnt the art of perfect beer foam and how this impacts the taste, aroma and feel of a beer.

As the final fireworks lit up the Muldersdrift sky, one thing became crystal clear: if this weekend was any indication of what’s to come, the bar for Joburg’s social scene has officially been raised.
