After a sold-out debut on London’s West End, the award-winning musical Vincent returns to Johannesburg this June, and it’s bringing a friend.

Wela Kapela Productions has announced a rare theatrical double bill at the Redhill Theatre in Morningside from 12–16 June 2026. Featuring the powerhouse duo of performer Daniel Anderson and pianist Paul Ferreira, the weekend offers a deep dive into the lives of two of history’s most misunderstood geniuses: Vincent van Gogh and Charlie Chaplin.
Vincent – His Quest to Love and Be Loved
This isn’t your average tribute show. Fresh off a triumphant run in London, this three-time Naledi Award winner uses reimagined pop, rock, and jazz hits to tell the story of Van Gogh’s relentless search for connection. Expect a multimedia experience that is both haunting and beautiful.
The Tramp
Switching gears from the canvas to the silver screen, The Tramp is a poignant homage to Charlie Chaplin. Narrated by his iconic character, the show explores Chaplin’s meteoric rise and his eventual exile from America. It’s a masterful look at the man behind the moustache, blending silent film aesthetics with live music.
In a move that’ll please your palate and your pocket, Redhill is offering a 20% discount if you book for both shows. You don't even have to see them on the same day, as long as you catch both over the long weekend, the discount applies to the second ticket.
"These are shows that could sit comfortably on any West End stage," says Joseph Gerassi, Executive Head of Redhill School. "We are fortunate to welcome them to our own campus for the local community to enjoy."
Time Out Tip: To claim your 20% Double Bill discount, book your first show on Webtickets as usual. You’ll receive a promo code in your confirmation email to use when booking your second show.
