What to expect during your visit:

Spanning 81 hectares, the botanical garden features seven beautifully curated themed gardens:

• The Chapel Garden

• The Shakespeare Garden

• The Rose Garden

• The Herb Garden

• The Hedge Garden

• The Arboretum

• The Succulent Garden

The gardens also overlook the picturesque 7.5-hectare Emmarentia Dam, adding to the scenic charm of the area.

For convenience, the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens provide three designated parking areas for visitors.

The Linden Market Festive Edition

The Linden Market is welcoming the festive season with open arms, with its next market taking place on 29 and 30 November. Set in the scenic Botanical Gardens, the event will feature over 150 local stalls offering everything from ceramics to street food, along with activities to keep the kids entertained, live music, wine tasting, and even opportunities to give a furry friend a forever home. Time Out Tip: Secure parking is available opposite the market at Roosevelt High School on Thomas Bowler Street for R30 per car.
