In its heyday, Ghostbar was the party spot everyone went to. For years, celebrities, athletes and socialites packed this Palms hotspot every weekend partying until the sun began peaking over the mountains.
The rooftop lounge opened in 2001. A year later, The Real World: Las Vegas filmed at the Maloof-owned resort, capturing scenes from the rooftop and interest in the Palms skyrocketed. As a result, Ghostbar quickly became one of the city’s most idolized nightspots, only to close and be renamed in 2017 when the resort was sold to Stations Casinos.
Ghostbar’s disappearance was short-lived, however. Just after the San Manuel Nation bought the resort the popular haunt was reincarnated and meets all expectations. Great drinks, a lively atmosphere and spectacular views from its Palms perch on the 55th floor make this lounge a stunning must-visit.
Ghostbar elevates its nightlife scene with live bands, dancers and pop-up performances, while the bar, not surprisingly, serves some spooky spirits. The world-class cocktail menu features large-format libations, such as a 12-drink cocktail tree, along with specialty mixes served over stamped ice cubes.
The vibe: High-energy, sleek lounge with an outdoor deck that stares straight out at the Las Vegas Strip.
The drink: Best to grab a signature cocktail here. The menu is loaded with them–everything from smoked bourbon drinks to electric-colored ones billowing with vapor from the dry ice.
Time Out tip: The terrace is cigar-friendly with dozens of cigars, some rare finds, available for purchase.
