Time Out says

The Palms has elevated its A.Y.C.E. Buffet (pronounced “ace”), adding special themed nights devoted to lobster on Wednesday and Thursday, with a prime rib/snow crab combo every Friday. To say these are popular is an understatement. Chefs at the resort report that they run through about 900 lobsters a day and, on a monthly basis, serve 20,000 pounds of snow crab and 2,500 pounds of prime rib. And well it might be the shellfish and prime rib carving station reeling them in, buffet-goers have a lot to be thankful for at A.Y.C.E. The menu sports all the usual fare like carving stations and made-to-order pasta, but chefs have added items such as crispy tofu, Sicilian-style eggplant caponata, pineapple-glazed ham, and sweet corn tamales to its bold offerings.

The vibe: If you haven’t made a table reservation on lobster night, be prepared to make friends in line. You might be there a while. Unlike buffets on the Strip, the Palms sees a lot of locals looking for a deal. And reasonable prices, free parking and a vast smorgasbord of goodies brings them out.

The food: A.Y.C.E. features seven distinct food stations: The Greenery, The Hearth, The Roastery, World Pan, Smoke & Fire, Revival and Sweet & Light. Each offers dedicated dishes that range from salads and smoked meats to health-conscious finds and international fare.

The drink: Cocktails, beer and wine can be purchased.

Time Out tip: A.Y.C.E.’s popular themed night dinners attract crowds and long lines. We recommend making reservations for the all-you-can-eat lobster dinner buffet served every Wednesday and Thursday.
