Like the casino in which it's housed, this is an icon of old Vegas. There's nothing fussy or upscale about the Bay City Diner: it's just a small room serving basic food for 20 hours a day. But it oozes history, from the grainy decor via the predictable menu to the ageing, no-nonsense waitresses. Anyone interested in the city's past should eat here at least once.
