Las Vegas has long delighted in bringing the world to its doorstep and reconstituting it for a theme-park crowd, a trend that reached its absolute apogee with the arrival of this Manhattan institution. Gone are the wisecracking staff and gigantic sandwiches; in their place are polite servers and surprisingly expensive (yet still sizeable) meals. It’s not bad, but anyone who’s been to the original may feel let down.
