Had your fill of of sceney restaurants? Feed your face BBQ-style at Gilley’s. There’s nothing upscale about this restaurant/watering hole in Treasure Island; it’s a rowdy and rollicking dancehall that serves heaping platters of meat-and-potato meals, slathered in sauce. If you have a hearty appetite, try the Ten Gallon Platter, which includes ribs, pulled pork, hot links and chicken—but don’t blame us in the morning.

Briefly stopped by in Gilley's mainly to ride the mechanical bull. That didn't end up happening. We walked in and were bombarded with noise and chatter and lots of people. I did think it was cool that there was a dance floor and people seemed to be following some sort of known dance. The rest of it seemed just out of my element. We went up to the bar to inquire about riding the bull. It took about 10 minutes to get the attention of a bartender (mind you, it wasn't that busy), but when we finally did we got a nod. Asked about the bull and were then told guy is on break. Maybe come back in an hour. Then dismissed. We didn't come back.
