Despite its location in the run-down Commercial Center, where it competes with the nationally renowned Lotus of Siam and a pair of nationally infamous sex clubs, Komol remains hugely popular for its authentic rendering of Thai cuisine, vast range of vegetarian and vegan options, plus 1950s Americana such as egg foo young, all at bargain prices. Specify the degree of heat you’d like, and the kitchen will try to comply.
