Frank Connally is holed up in a truly sleazy California hotel with a gun in his hand. A week ago his wife walked out with the kids, pausing only to empty the bank account and sell Frank's beloved record collection. Now he just wants to end it all. Trouble is, his eccentric neighbour-tenants keep getting in the way. Fucci (producer of Purple Haze and Nightsongs) piles on the West Coast clichés and stereotypes in his debut feature, which looks and plays like off-Hollywood fringe theatre. Good soundtrack, though.
