Time Out says

A divorced man turns to internet dating in this good-natured but lightweight British romcom

A divorced Mancunian is looking for love in this warm but wobbly romcom. But try as he might, Shahid (Danny Ashok), a Muslim, cannot find a wife. Not because he’s approaching his thirtieth birthday and his business is on the verge of collapse, but because of the stigma attached to his divorce in his community. So Shahid signs up to a Muslim dating site, and that’s where this low-budget romantic comedy begins.

He meets Fatimah (Asmara Gabrielle), an independent, ambitious GP online. They fall in love offline, but Shahid struggles to tell her about his romantic past. And Fatimah has her own secrets too: an anger problem and a list of requirements for her future husband that he can never meet.

‘Finding Fatimah’ is a sweet movie, with moments of real chemistry between its two charismatic leads – and it’s encouraging to see a story embedded in the Muslim community starring young British Asian actors. It’s feelgood, with its heart in the right place. It’s just a little flimsy.
