This British comedy has a pretty irresistible plot for our times. Stephen Dillane (who does hangdog like no actor on earth) is Harry Papadopoulous, a Greek Londoner who has turned his parents’ humble fish and chip shop into a mega-corp. But come the financial crisis Harry loses everything: the mansion, the business, the cars. The bank takes it all, except mum and dad’s London chippie, which he co-owns with his estranged brother Spyros (Georges Corraface). Spyros refuses to sell, so the pair go into business, as a Turkish rival looks on suspiciously. Will the family pull together? What do you think? This has got charming and feelgood written all over it.
