The average Godzilla pic is closer to believable human values than this fatuous blend of soap and sitcom, which plays like the omnibus edition of a daytime TV series. The inept cook running the Boston Grill in Yokohama has twin daughters, both with romance problems: one is epileptic and sure no man will marry her, the other unsure of her love for her fiancé. A couple of oddball merchant-marine cooks come along to take over the kitchen and set the girls' hearts aflutter. Even worse than it sounds.
