Sunday in the Country

Three killer hoodlums on the run get more than they bargained for when they come up against churchgoing country farmer Borgnine, a man with his own brand of rough justice. A film that revolves around little more than a clash between the acting styles of Pollard and Borgnine. The flyweight against the heavyweight in a battle to define the meaning of psychopath: the one snivelling, giggling and spastic, the other granite-like and pop-eyed. Elsewhere it's messy and violent, but quite competently handled.
