Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars
Just another finger-pointing doc about the financial crisis, or a strong primer for anyone wondering where their money went? ‘The Flaw’ is both. The roots of the catastrophe – the sub-prime mortgage collapse, Wall Street’s irresponsible lending – have been covered extensively elsewhere, but what makes this film stand out is its impassioned, at times enraged, exposé of the way our economic system has become weighted in favour of the super-rich. Essentially just a series of talking heads – from homeless mortgage defaulters to top-rank financiers and politicians – spiked with well-chosen animated interludes and graphics, this is nuts-and-bolts stuff which might be more at home on TV. But as a furious rallying cry for change which still hasn’t come, this is forceful, eye-opening viewing.
