Part old-fashioned caper, party vanity project for Basinger, this yarn about a reformed cat burglar trying to go straight aims for the lightweight appeal of something like To Catch a Thief but is burdened with a sentimental subplot about the heroine's relationship with her estranged son. Having served six years for an aborted bank robbery, Karen McCoy (Basinger) returns to Atlanta, Georgia, where sometime associate Schmidt (Stamp) coerces her into one last job. Kilmer is the getaway driver (and love interest). Pretty lifeless.
