Playing in the bush, Tano and Kodou meet Ayoka, the guardian of an ancient baobab tree which will be chopped down unless they can help. Little do they realise that the tree is a door into the natural world of their ancestors, through which they may enter another dimension and ask for help. While jaded ten-year-olds might diss the graphics, the quirky story ticks a lot of other boxes on a life-affirming journey in which the spirit world takes on the baddies in a surreally textured African landscape.
