Time Out says

Veteran director Ghai’s creative drought continues with this insipid Bollywood rehash of ‘Rain Man’, with eight songs. Camp, drunk and frequently shirtless singer Deven (Khan) decides to befriend his estranged elder autistic brother Gyanesh (Kapoor) when their dead dad bequeathed millions to the latter. No rupees for guessing that they bond in the process; they are 'Indian brothers'. Nothing happens pre-interval; the patchy screenplay just manages to gel two hours later. Hamming equates to emoting, Kapoor’s savant is no Hoffman, AR Rahman’s ditties disappoint and Austria is passed off for the Czech Republic. This would be forgivable if the shallow emotions worked but it’s hard to care about these callous characters. Worst of all is its inability to address 'genius disorder' in any meaningful way.
