6th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Conference says
The University of Louisville Women’s Center and Women4Women Student Board are raising awareness of human trafficking in Kentucky to educate students and the community about the complex issue of human trafficking and to encourage taking action to prevent it.


The 6th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Conference will be 5:30pm to 9:00pm Feb. 2nd in the Swain Student Activities Center’s Multi-purpose room. Doors open at 5:00pm with a resource fair and dinner.

Representatives from various community and campus organizations will be on hand to distribute information on resources for victims of human trafficking and survivors and provide information on how the community can get involved.

Admission is free and open to the public. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2016-human-trafficking-awareness-conference-tickets-20742165375 to reserve a space and a meal. Meals are also available for purchase at Subway, Wendy's, and Papa John’s in the Swain Student Activities Center. Parking is available in the Floyd Street Parking Garage and on the street in surrounding areas.

Donations are gladly accepted. We will also be collecting toiletries and personal hygiene items at the conference. Both the money and hygiene items will be donated to the Kristy Love Foundation, a non -profit organization dedicated to helping women addicted to drugs and alcohol and victims of human trafficking here in Louisville. http://thekristylovefoundation.org/
