of your very own in your favorite style and color palette.

My studio in Germantown located in the Hope Mills building
will make available over a dozen new and vintage hat blocks.

The class will be taught at the Letter Song Gallery at 1501 Story Ave in Butchertown.9:30-4 Sat-Sun Feb 6&7 2016. Using millinery skills, I've developed for theatre hats and fashion I'll teach the very basics of steam blocking using straw and synamy. I'll teach you how to wire, size and stiffen, finish edges, form a sweatband and a couple of decorating tips. This class will mostly be about deciding and forming a hat shape. You will leave having built an incredible hat for yourself or to give as a gift for the holidays.

Individual instruction for all skill levels will be available. But must have basic sewing skills to attend.
