Malasaña Market

The most recent market to throw its hat into the ring of Madrid's popular weekend markets arrives packing quite a punch. Malasaña Market was born from an idea to have something different from all the mini Rastros celebrated throughout the city and to incorporate that Malasaña everyone loves so much. Art, vintage clothing, crafts, design and even gastronomy are all on offer, plus loads more, in the Isla Barceló (in the recently inaugurated Mercado de Barceló), where you can find this eclectic market.

Decoration is a big attraction at the Malasaña Market, with a huge cloud of more than 2,000 paper butterflies floating overhead. And if all that shopping makes you thirsty, bear in mind that for every purchase you make in the market, you'll get a free beer, no matter how much you spent.
