Just in time for Halloween, Grimmfest joins forces with the BFI and MOSI's Science Festival to bring us some of the most iconic science fiction films in cinema history.

Featuring six classics, Grimmfest has taken three directors and brings us double bills of some of their finest celluloid offerings.

Wed Oct 29: Terry Gilliam gets the first outing with both 'Twelve Monkeys' and 'Brazil'.

Thu Oct 30: It's Paul Verhoeven night with an action packed 'Total Recall' and 'Starship Troppers'.

Fri Oct 31: Finally on Halloween itself, Ridley Scott's still superb 'Alien' is screened with it's prequel of sorts, 'Prometheus'.

Each evening kicks off with a special introduction from guest speakers at 6.30pm. Films start prompt at 7pm with a half hour interval between so you can top up your drink or have a 'comfort break'. Tickets for each double bill cost £12.50 or a three event pass will cost £30 and you can buy tickets on the door or in advance from www.grimmfest.com where you can find out what else is going on in the festival around the city.

Grimmfest sci-fi d
ouble dills are at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester.
