A weekly artisan food market is to launch in Radcliffe next month, from the team behind Castlefield Market and Friday Food Fight.

Radcliffe Fine Food Market will be held each Saturday up until Christmas in the town’s recently-refurbished market hall and will feature a range of local food producers.

Organisers Campfield Events recently opened Farrars Café and Tea Room in the market and are planning further developments at the hall.

Jodie Bannister from Campfield Events says there has been a positive response from the local community to the plans.

‘There is a real sense of community here,’ she says. ‘We’d like to see as many people as possible get involved with initiatives to improve the town centre and are committed to helping do this in whatever way we can.’

The inaugural market will be on Saturday September 19 and stallholders confirmed for the first event include The Pizza Maker, Blackbird Pantry and The Curry Manc.
