Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

Eating here is like being a kid again.

Chef Martha Ortiz makes art with her food, no doubt about that. Art that reminds you of eating grandma’s cooking. Only this time around it’s elegant and refined.

We love the delicate pork cracklings that remind us of a street stand gordita, the parade of mole, chipotle or lavender breads and the desserts, like the redesigned eskimo; a snow cone topped with sprinkles and animal cookies – we dare you to not to smile when you see it.

The executives that frequent this spot for lunch can’t quite relive their childhood in here but, the smiles on their faces say it all. There’s no doubt that ever person in this room, including us, is thinking about mom.
