Ultra Music Festival 2015

One of the biggest electronic dance festivals in the US—and an annual beacon for the dance-music industry worldwide—Ultra offers a panoply of world class DJs pumping out everything from trance to trap, relentless house and dirty Dubstep.

Following the 2014 event's clash between festival organisers and the Miami local authoraties over security issues, the 2015 rave-athon spectacular promises a tentative return to its seven stages, despite the defiance of organizers who have rebutted hints from the Miami mayor that the 2015 festival would not be allowed to proceed.

At Ultra the AV is as much a draw as the DJs, with shows designed to get the whole crowd dancing as one, under a canopy of colossal vortex laser lightshows and surreal aerial trapeze acts spinning around over the decks. Ultra virgins and veteran ravers alike, throw down to the thumping basslines with the glittering Miami bay behind. Expect to get messy amidst the swathes of nearly naked party animals and to lose yourself in the escapism that comes with an enthusiasm for EDM.
