Miami Lyric Opera: "Carmen"

Georges Bizet’s class-conscious, boundary-breaking opera stunned its initial audiences in
19th century France with its sexually charged love triangle between a fiery Spanish
gypsy, a glamorous matador and a naïve soldier, culminating in a shocking act of
violence. Miami Lyric Opera will bring this grand, four-act vision to life under the baton
of guest conductor Jeffrey Eckstein.
