PSA Minnesota says
“Victory is the child of struggle, that joy blossoms from suffering, and redemption is a product of sacrifice” – Jose Rizal

The story of all civilizations and their people is a constant cycle of conflict and resolution, defeat and success. As the receiver of different cultural influences from around the globe, The Philippines is no exception. From Spanish conquest in the 16th century to the catastrophic effects of the typhoons in recent years, Filipinos have struggled against others and nature itself. But time and time again, they have overcome these challenges and emerged as a new people. This fight for order in the face of opposition by any person, community, or nation we define as the “Rise.”

Join us, PSA Minnesota, in our journey as we explore the moments when The Philippines has risen against its trials and tribulations, interpreted through musical, dance, and martial art performances.

Food will be served.
