Travellers around the world have voted, and it’s official: Air Canada was just named the best airline in North America, beating out the United States’ Delta Airlines for the number one spot.
Skytrax unveiled its 2025 World Airline Awards, highlighting the top global and regional carriers.
Presented at the Paris Air Show, the Skytrax World Airline Awards—based on customer satisfaction surveys of over 22 million travellers across the globe—is the largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to determine the award winners.
The 2025 awards, also known as “the Oscars of the aviation industry”, shared results from an online survey operated from September 2024 to May 2025, where more than 100 customer nationalities participated, with 22.3 million eligible entries counted in the results.
The airline took home 9 honours, including World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining for the Air Canada Signature Suite in Toronto and Best Cabin Crew in North America.
