Sons of Anarchy devotees have probably heard that stars Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman share a slow dance in this scrappy low-budget comedy, and that the rugged older actor spends his limited amount of screen time in drag. (Sorry, SOA fan-fiction writers: You’ve officially been trumped.) Lovers of the TV biker drama may find pleasure in the duo’s surreal scenes together, but everyone else will likely view this story about a writer (Hunnam), his film-obsessed drug-addict brother (Chris O’Dowd) and a viral amateur-porn movie as one limp farce. If the movie proves anything, it’s that no matter how many jokes about impotence, vomiting pigs, deviant movie stars and underground adult-entertainment you shove into a gross-out flick, there are few things worse than strained outrageousness.
