A Bird in the Air

Time Out says

It's a typical boy-meets-bible--quoting-parrot drama, in which a graveyard-shift highway worker (Hurst) gets personal advice from a freshly acquired feathered friend, including how to let go of past traumas and learn to love a colorful librarian (Nichols)---all while tracking down his new pet's original owner. Adapted from Joe Coomer's novel, this feel-good fable's stars share little interspecial chemistry, and its lethargic plotting and quirky affectation are---wait for it---strictly for the birds.
