Time Out says

Inspired by the free 'open source' philosophy of the Linux programming software, this soon becomes a tired David and Goliath tale dressed up in shiny hi-tech clothes, as it pitches slacker intuition against the fixed mindset of the suits. When garage-based programming genius Milo (Phillippe, coasting on youthful nerves) abandons his idealistic friend and partner Teddy for a pivotal job with the NURV corporation headed by his hero, evangelical Garry Winston (Robbins, delivering the film's one complex performance), he's soon at the heart of the company's plans for the digital convergence of a satellite-based global communications system. But when several suspicious programmer deaths conveniently coincide with sudden solutions to the project's difficulties, Milo realises the cost of meeting a global deadline is a good deal higher than he thought.
