Many Japanese critics complained (with reason) that US smash ’The Hunger Games’ bore a number of similarities to 2000’s teen-on-teen action-horror flick ‘Battle Royale’. This is the country’s chance to get even. The premise sounds fantastic – but it’s the presence of ’13 Assassins’ director Takashi Miike that’s got us really excited.
