Bachna Ae Haseeno

A light comedy that takes a surprisingly effective turn for the melodramatic, this Bollywood romance follows video-game designer Raj (Kapoor), a goofy charmer with a history of running when things get serious. After years of breaking hearts, Raj finally gets a taste of his own medicine and vows to clean up his love karma. But making amends to sheltered Mahi (Lamba) and steely beauty Radhika (Basu) isn’t as easy as he expected. Director Siddharth Anand handles the tricky tone shift deftly, giving what would otherwise be a candy-colored trifle a touch of depth without stinting on gorgeous clothes, handsome locations and bouncy musical numbers.
