Released from an institution 30 years after his parents dumped him down a garbage chute, Bernie Noel (Dupontel) finds a Paris apartment, buys a video camera, and sets about tracking down his folks. His tenuous grip on reality isn't improved by contact with the world at large; he leaves a trail of corpses and headless budgies in his wake. To complain that a black comedy is tasteless and offensive is probably to miss the point, but there it is. The violence against women of all ages is particularly grating. A hit in France.
