Anyone who cherishes the Stevie Wonder track ‘I Just Called To Say I Love You’ may want to pass on this exotic slice of comic experimentalism. It not only serves as the signature tune of by a budding contestant on Thailand’s equivalent of ‘Pop Idol’, but also by a blind, elderly dentist who is unceremoniously gang raped by two irate male customers. A torrent of equally off-the-wall vignettes follow which are intended as a comment on the Chinese experience in Indonesia. If that really is the intention, Edwin’s politics get buried in comedy, and that’s no bad thing.
