Blood and Sand

Matador Valentino and vamp Naldi tango this rise-and-fall corrida melodrama towards the realm of the senses. But Niblo's prosaic direction is at odds with the Iberian exotica, and it is left to the odd inventions of June Mathis' script, and the bullfight sequences constructed by editor Dorothy Arzner, to add anything to the curiosity value of the Great Lover's work.
