Another enjoyable mix of high-quality student films and professional promos, this features a pleasing variation of styles with a slightly moodier theme than the first batch in the Public Choice Programme. Particularly visually inventive offerings include ‘Wallpaper’ (Fiona Geilinger), in which the image of a woman is both hidden and revealed by elements of her clothing, and ‘Loose Fit: Table Beggar’ (Abbie Stephens) in which a depressed man is physically torn apart. Meanwhile ‘Robots of Brixton’ (Kibwe Tavares) sees London taken over by robots and the mood is lightened by ‘Out On The Tiles’ (Anna Pearson) featuring a very drunk woman in a club toilet.
