Burning Life

This strangely dated road movie (very loosely in the Thelma & Louise mould) sees two women go on a bank robbing spree along the backroads of post-Wall East Germany, pursued by a showman/fakir in a hippie van, and assorted fascistic cops in leathers. The 'chicks', one a frustrated history teacher maddened by her father's suicide, the other a frustrated cabaret-style chanteuse (she gets to do an embarrassing microphone caressing number) sport the complete range of guns, specs and threads from the renta-cool catalogue. Audaciously unoriginal.
